Web archiving in Dynamics 365
Smart web archiving system
Tabellae’s Output Management solution, Lasernet, includes a web archiving system to archive, copy, move and clean up business documents.
With these features you can check your archive, delete or move older files. After 5 years, there’s no need to store business documents. With Lasernet’s web archive system, you can set the system to delete these files so they don’t take up storage space.
This archive is for Dynamics AX and Dynamics 365.
Archive longevity
The Process Archive life span, Copy, Move and Clean up features are useful for moving between different storage/archive types or if you are moving from Azure to OnPrem or OnPrem to Azure.
The archive also makes it possible to move between different types of Azure Storage – and to a low-cost Azure Storage such as Azure Cool Storage or Azure Archive Storage.
How the archive works
Process archive life span
Process archive life span defines the lifespan and determines when files are moved to “alternative” storage.
Report life span
It is possible to define the report life span in the Lasernet parameters. Documents are moved to the “alternative” storage when they pass the expiration date – the current system date is used to calculate the expiration date.
Report life span id
The report lifetime ID defined in the Lasernet parameters is used for all reports unless the report lifetime ID is specified for specific reports. The parameters can be found here: Lasernet > Setup > Parameters.

Copy / move files in the archive
In the web archive, you can easily copy files by following these steps:
Parameters
From storage: The storage from which the files are copied/moved.
To storage: The storage where the files are copied/moved to.
Condition
Filename filter: Optional: Specify the report name or part of the report name.
Load files older than: Set a date that the files should be older than.
Options and possibilities
First, calculate how many files will be affected:
1. calculate the number and size of files with the option to cancel.
2. Cancel skips updating the references in the Lasernet archive and does not copy the files to storage.
Overwrite existing files: Tap ‘Yes’ to overwrite existing files.
Skip archive update:
1. Skip updating the entries/registrations in the Lasernet archive.
2. This option will also use the date from the repository and not the data in the Lasernet archive compared to the ‘Load files older than’ option.
Maximum number of files to process: The maximum number of files to process.
Dredging the archive
In the web archive, you can easily clean up your files by following these steps:
Parameters
Delete files in storage: The storage from which the files are deleted.
Delete only or also exist in storage: Optional: Delete files only if the files exist in this storage.
Condition
Filename filter: Optional: Specify the report name or part of the report name.
Load files older than: Set a date that the files should be older than.

Maximum number of files to process: The maximum number of files to process.
Skip archive update:

Delete archive entries whose files do not exist: Deletes all entries in the Lasernet archive for which the files do not exist.
