Lasernet 9 - New Configuration Server
The standard software Lasernet is constantly evolving with focus on new functionalities, improved performance and global implementations. This release of Lasernet primarily focuses on improved enterprise functionality and administration.
Lasernet Configuration Server 9
Lasernet Configuration Server 9 is a new web portal to view configurations, manage deployments, view history log, manage servers, users, groups and security roles. All of this is now an integrated part of Lasernet 9.

Administration
Lasernet 9 provides an overview of how to manage the solution, update it and who has what rights. Lasernet 9 provides the ability to manage in order to facilitate company security and audit control.
This is a new feature called Security Roles for Developer and Client. This ensures that it’s the right person that makes the configurations. Furthermore, this feature allows you to manage access control to products and services provided by Lasernet and allow access control to Lasernet Configuration Server, Lasernet Developer and Lasernet Client by adding role members for local AD users and groups.
Deployment – The Big News
Deployment is the big news! This new feature provides an implementation tool for managing and implementing multiple revisions of any configuration. It is now possible to view revision number, date, comments, author and previous and active running revisions. It is also possible to get an overview of the implementation history for all Lasernet servers and configurations.
Under History, you will find an overview of the deployment history for any server and configuration. Get an overview of who has updated each revision, which also includes comments on all added changes. This data is stored in the Lasernet Configuration Server, so it’s always possible to return to the proper revision of the configuration.
The screenshot shows the new interesting features of Lasernet 9:
- Commit: Save a revision
- Revert: Restore a previous revision of the configuration
- History: View deployment history – from who has changed what to when the changes were made
- Deploy: Set your configurations in operation on the server
