Important: Microsoft update affects Lasernet!
Recently Microsoft announced the update about TLS: “Office 365 will retire TLS 1.0 and 1.1 starting June 1st, 2020 in Worldwide and GCC Environments” which means that all connections to Office 365 using the protocols TLS 1.0 and TLS 1.1 will not work after June 1st, 2020.
The upgrade will affect the sending of emails from Lasernet
Lasernet mail connections to Office 365, via the Exchange module, will not work for incoming or outgoing email after the announced date, since the Exchange module supports TLS 1.0 only.
Solution
We suggest two solutions:
- Upgrade to Lasernet 9.6 or newer, where an Outlook 365 module is introduced supporting TLS 1.2, and with similar functionality to the Exchange module
- Switch to the Mail Input (IMAP) or Mail Output (SMTP) module with support for TLS 1.2 from Lasernet 8. Please notice that these protocols have limited functionality compared to the EWS (Exchange module) and Graph (Outlook 365 module) API’s. In Lasernet 7 and older, we cannot inform you about the supported TLS versions, since this version is out of maintenance.
