Send SMS messages with Lasernet
There may be a number of advantages to sending notifications based on an action/warning/shipment in the ERP system to your customers' mobile phones or to employees.
Lasernet allows notifications to be sent automatically to customers or employees via SMS at a modest cost.
Here are some cases where SMS may be an appropriate method of contact:
Case 1:
With Lasernet, a printed packing list can automatically prompt a notification to the recipient about an expected delivery or partial delivery.
Case 2:
Drivers or front desk personnel can automatically receive notifications via SMS about the content of a packing list, backorders, new destination, etc.
Case 3:
If a credit note exceeding DKK 5,000 is printed, an SMS with the customer's name, salesperson's name, amount, date and possible text about the reason can automatically be sent to the Sales Manager.
Case 4:
Retail industry - SMS to customers when an item is back in stock or on the from the supplier - e.g. SMS service from Specsavers.
Can also be used to:
Manually send SMS to employees and customers from Outlook or Notes.
Incoming SMS can be converted to emails and distributed.
This is how it works
Based on output from the ERP system, Lasernet captures the receiver’s number, combines it with a security code and sends the text message as an ordinary e-mail to an “SMS gateway”, which converts and broadcasts the SMS via the mobile network.
Any errors are recorded in a full log, which can be accessed by an administrator.
Lasernet can receive replies via email or as SMS via the SMS gateway, if desired. LaserNet can react based on the content of a received SMS.
Security
A unique security code is created and embedded in Lasernet. This ensures that unauthorised text messages cannot be sent from the company's account.
