Configuration of new reports with associated dialog

Previously, this had to be coded in SSRS and a new form would then need to be created to execute the report. Now you can configure the form and how the button should look in just 5 minutes using 'Form Links'. That means that a new report can be created in a single day.

Configuration of new reports with associated dialog can easily be made with the following features:

Lasernet can create custom dialogs

Configuration of Print Buttons

With Lasernet print buttons, you can create your own direct shortcuts to specific Lasernet print destinations and avoid unnecessary clicks in Dynamics 365. Save time and focus on the important thing - your business.

Lasernet print buttons provide the functionality to configure a ‘one click button’ with pre-set settings, or a set of settings, which remove the need for the user to repeatedly select the required options when printing. This ensures that the end-user selects a valid destination (such as the correct printer), but also makes it much easier to reselect.

With Lasernet Print Buttons you have the following possibilities

Control different design

It is possible to control different designs or datasets on the report. For example, depending on the button you select, you can choose different footers or headers and switch between portrait or landscape. Lasernet will then distribute the report via email or send to a chosen printer based on business logic.

Cloud printer

The buttons also support Lasernet Cloud printers and therefor you can also define a button to use your default windows printer, removing the need to hardcode a printer. Think about a user that works part time in the warehouse and logs into a pc there. They have a windows default printer that prints next to them, but when the user comes back to the desk he has another pc with another default printer. This could be set as Cloud printer and a local printer

Different types of formats

The buttons can also be configured to create different output types of the same report such as Excel, Word or EDI. Simply by selecting the format type when you configure the button.

Sign the document

Lasernet also supports DocuSign along with many others, so why not add a button that sends the Purchase Order to e.g. DocuSign? And then get it proved and signed before passing it on to the vendor

Works also with SSRS

Lasernet print buttons does not only work on reports sent through Lasernet but also on SSRS reports that are distributed through the standard print dialog. Simply select that standard options instead of the Lasernet options when you configure the button
